Apache Sets Forties Record

Apache has announced record-setting production numbers for one of its development wells in the Forties field in the UK sector of the North Sea. The Charlie 4-3 well started producing at a rate of 12,567 b/d of oil - the highest initial production rate recorded for a well in the Forties field since 1990. That surpassed the Charlie 2-2 well, which Apache completed in March and which recorded an initial production rate of 11,876 b/d.
