Iraq Mulls Third Bid Round

Iraq may hold a third oil auction for some of its giant fields, such as Kirkuk and East Baghdad, if there is enough interest from for- eign firms, Iraq’s oil minister told Reuters. Baghdad signed deals with international oil companies after two bid rounds last year that commit the firms to adding 10 million b/d of production capacity to Iraq’s existing 2.5 million b/d by 2017.
