Pertamina May Go Public

Indonesian state Pertamina may become a nonlisted public company as early as 2010, a government official says (IOD Nov.14'07,p7). It would register as a public company with Indonesia's market watchdog, the Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency, but would not list on the stock exchange. This would give it time to "improve its corporate governance" ahead of any listing, State Enterprises Minister Sofyan Djalil told the official Antara news agency.
