The oil investments of Total Gabon rose sharply in the first half of this year,amounting to us77.6 million as against us56.6 million in the corresponding period of 2004.The company's investments in January-June 2005 are almost exactly equivalent to half the sums it invested in the 12 months of 2004,when its capital spending jumped sharply in the second half of the year,to a little over us100 million.
