Milwaukee man found guilty of killing teen robbing yard

A jury has found a man living at a scrapyard guilty of killing a teenager during a May burglary at the recycling operation. David Helton, 54, who was found guilty of second-degree reckless homicide by a Milwaukee County Circuit Court jury, faces up to 14 years in prison when he is sentenced next month. Helton, who for the past four years has lived in a trailer on the property of HSR Scrap Metals & Iron Co., Milwaukee, has been held in the county jail since the shooting. Reuben M. Katz, 77, owner of HSR, told AMM that Helton made his living as a scrap peddler but wasn't an employee at the yard.
