Copper moved to a fresh two-month high on Friday when it cracked the 4.30 dollars-per-pound level in New York. Comex copper for September delivery rose to 4.3025 dollars per pound, up 0.5 percent from 4.2825 dollars per pound Thursday, continuing a price rise that began midweek and secur-ing a nearly 5-percent gam from a June 24 settlement price of 4.0985 dollars per pound for the then most active July contract.
