Have you lost your focus? Are you listening to your inner thoughts? As I travel, I am always looking at people to see if they are listening to what their brains (their mental patterns) are saying to them. I have not been surprised to find a number of employees who were not practicing what I call "focused activity" in their everyday work. It is interesting to note that these people were working in different businesses - high tech, airline, automotive, leisure, and retail - but the symptoms were the same. Focused activity is really the basis for exceptional customer service. If people are not focused on what they are doing, they cannot serve their customers or build relationships. Focus confers the ability to play a servant leadership role, regardless of a person's position in a company. When people are focused and practice servant leadership, they will find that their relationships in their business and personal lives will progress easily and without stress.
