DHS to seek input on site security

THE DEPARTMENT of Homeland Security will seek comment from the chemical industry and the general public in drafting the first federal regulations to enforce antiterrorism security measures at chemical plants.The department was given authority to set and enforce site security standards for high-risk chemical production,storage and transit sites with congressional passage last Friday of the departments fiscal 2007 spending bill.
