Texas Chemical Companies to Establish an Energy Buying Pool

Texas Chemical manuiacturers and suppliers have entered into an agreement with Priority Power Management,a Texas-based independent energy management and consulting services firm,to leverage their collective buying power to lower and stabilize volatile energy costs.The agreement calls for Priority Power Management to assemble a buying pool,consisting of the members of the Texas Chemical Council(TCC)and the Association of Chemical Industry of Texas(ACIT),and enter into multicontract negotiations to seek the most competitive energy rates for the individual companies.
