Mane opens new centre of excellence for flavours research in Switzerland

France based fragrances and flavours maker, Mane, has announced the official opening of its new R&D centre of excellence in Vouvry (Valais -Switzerland). Operational since July 2014, the centre spans over 2,450 square metres and employs 20 collaborators. The R&D activities at the centre are organised around the sweet and savoury application laboratories, fitted with the necessary equipment to prepare all types of applications to incorporate and evaluate flavours in finished products, the company said. These facilities, combined with the company's know-how, help in reproducing the manufacturing parameters of finished products, from taste to visual aspect and texture, which are then analysed by a team of experts including food-processing engineers, flavourists as well as trained internal and external tasting panellists.
