摘要

The corrosion resistance of electronic devices has been tested for many years using some methods like cycle humidity test, field tests and salt spray (fog) test. Nevertheless, none of these test methods show a strong relationship with the real service conditions. For this reason, it is necessary to develop methods and equipment suitable for the accelerated simulation of real atmospheric corrosion phenomena. This article will demonstrate the need to develop a test and the necessary equipment to reproduce the damage in electronic devices with the possibility of using it for a fast evaluation of equipment failure.
