Clariant reports higher sales and income for 2011

Swiss speciality chemicals firm, Clariant, has reported higher sales for the full-year 2011 - Swiss Francs (CHF) 7.370-bn, compared to CHF 7.120-bn in 2010. Sales grew 16% in local currencies and 4% in Swiss francs, the company informed. The lower growth in Swiss francs was attributed to the significant appreciation of the Swiss Franc against most major currencies on a year-ori-year basis.
