Madras Fertilizers to make complex fertilisers for Indian Potash

Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (MFL) is in the process of stabilising its complex fertilisers production line to manufacture complexes for Indian Potash Ltd on job work basis. According to company officials, MFL has entered into an agreement with Indian Potash to manufacture 20-20-0-13 (N-P-K-S) complex for the company. The product will be branded for Indian Potash which will import the raw materials at its own cost and pay the conversion cost to MFL. Production is expected to stabilise at about 20,000 tonnes. This would mean an annual production of about 2 lakh tonnes of complex fertilisers. MFL is now producing about 7,000 tonnes a month.
