Estimation of voltage asymmetry in three-phase electrical supply systems

Using the results of an analysis of existing estimates of Voltage asymmetry, the authors propose a new method of decomposition of a system of voltage vectors with retaining the same numerical factor when changing from direct to inversetransformation. Advantages of the proposed decomposition into symmetrical components are demonstrated. Using geometrical constructions, an additional coefficient of skewness is obtained. Recommendations regarding precise and approximate estimation ofvoltage asymmetry in three-phase systems are formulated.
