CONNECTICUT FORESTS IN HARM'S WAY: What Good is Sustainability without a Forest?

Connecticut's forest resources are under unprecedented pressure, especially because of spreading suburban development. Similar forces are at play throughout the northeast and can be observed as much in northern New England as in the Nutmeg State. Changes in the forested landscape are prompting much hand wringing, but most of the proposed solutions are at best half measures. At worst, they are a "rearranging of the deck chairs on the Titanic."
