Following the recent federal budget, Institute Silver Member and engineering consulting firm, Aurecon, called for "innovative funding" in how infrastructure is in fact funded. Managing director for Australia and New Zealand, William Cox said this type of innovation in funding should cut across federal, state and local government. "This should include a bi-partisan approach to infrastructure planning and investment which spans all levels of government, with the input and support of the private sector," he said.
