Deep foundation technology includes the construction of piles, diaphragm walls and retaining structures. With ever increasing demands such as larger diameter shafts, greater depths and congested reinforcement cages or steel elements there is a need to pay careful attention to the concrete mix in use. Designers and contractors need to consider and emphasise constructability in designs, limitations of construction materials and the quality of concrete on thejobsite.
