The Water Corporation's standard pattern Type 180 Pump Station is used extensively throughout Western Australia to cater for the fluctuations in capacity demand of sewage flow experienced in the State's larger towns. Georgiou Precast engaged Pritchard Francis to investigate and design a precast alternative for the standard pattern Pump Station. There were initial concerns with applying the alternative design, due to the loads on the structure. After detailed analysis and consultation with the construction team, a solution was identified and the project moved forward into fabrication.
