On taxonomy and anatomy of the genus Choanomphalus (Gastropoda, Planorbidae)

Outside Lake Baikal the genus Choanomphalus Gerstfeldt is represented by ten species and six subgenera, Choanomphalus s. str., Lamorbis Starobogatov, Pseudogyraulus Prozorova et Starobogatov, Vitreoplanorbis Moskvicheva in Zatravkin, Acphoanomphalus Lindholm, Omphalocrypta Tomlin. A key to identifying these genera and species is given. The anatomical structure of the species Ch. (V.) hyaliniformis Dvoriadkin is described for the first time. The copulative apparatus of Vitreoplanorbis is found to differ from that in Lamorbis and Pseudogyraulus in proportions and stylet shape.
