A GENERAL SCHEME OF THE CIRCULATION OF IXODID TICK-BORNE BORRELIOSES PATHOGENS IN NATURAL FOCI OF EURASIA

摘要

A quantitative scheme of the circulation of pathogens of ixodes tick-borne borrelioses, which may serve as the basis for further computer modeling of the epizootic process, is proposed. The scheme is based on the general regularities of the development of the long-term cycle in Ixodes persulcatus Shulze 1930 and I. ricinus L. 1758 that act as the major carriers and hosts of Borrelia in Eurasia and on the generalized indicators of vertical and horizontal transmission of these spirochetes.
