An integrative learning information management system for e-learning - development of RAPSODY-δ

摘要

Recently, a lot of attentions have been given to e-learning systems using computer networks and multimedia information technology. And these Systems have been put into practice in many schools and companies. For e-learning Systems, three mechanisms are needed: (1) the administration of learning contents, (2) the tracks of learning history, (3) the management of the user (i.e., learner/author/system administrator). The systems with these mechanisms are called the LMS (Learning Management System) that is defined as the fundamental building blocks of the e-learning systems. This research presents the development and implementation of the functionality of the administration of the learning contents based on the framework of LMS and the investigations of the existing LMS. The developed LMS has been applied to the course underpinned WBT/L (web based training/learning) system. This paper describes the LMS mechanism on the administration of the learning contents. Moreover; this research is the revised vision of RAPSODY underpinned the Learning Ecological Model.
