In 1997, the Ministry of Education supported the creation of psychology and orientation services with several goals, including the vocational guidance of students. Thus, "providing for an individual pedagogic intervention whenever difficult situations are detected, but also guiding the students in the choices they make during their school career, thereby helping in the development of their personal identity and in the construction of their own life project."
