Construction and activities of new type class rooms for engineering education using multi-media materials in Gifu national college of technology

摘要

In Gifu National College of Technology a new high-tech building that provides multi-media equipments was constructed in January 2001. Five of the classrooms are usually used as the fourth-year students homerooms. They are different from the other ordinary ones. Lectures for engineering education are taking place in this room. In the lectures here multi-media materials are used more effectively. Some new style of education methods are taken intentionally to all of the fourth year students. According to the survey on the students attitude it was found that the students prefer a style of the lecture in which the digitally stored materials in the web server are used for explanation, because they can access those materials at any time after the class and it would make their learning more effective.
