摘要

The digital broadcasting has enabled viewers to receive personalized assisted education programs with interactive communication, though the existing education programs had no interactive communication function. The paper proposes a model of personalized multimedia assisted education system using digital broadcasting by which the viewers can study interactively. The key point of the system is that when the viewer issues an SOS signal to the system, the system offers personalized programs using the viewer's profile data and his or her past records. Then, the following three agents are invoked: (1) investigator agent that investigates the circumstances, (2) retriever agent that retrieves some other related teaching materials, and (3) communication agent that is an interface module, so that a virtual teacher can explain the circumstances in friendly dialogue. The teaching material movies can be, in advance, taken. However, the movie corresponding to the personalized reaction part must be dynamically made using a CG virtual teacher, because the movie content depends on the circumstances. To make the dynamical movie production costs lower, a database for investigation of circumstances, and a dialogue template database are needed.
