Up to now, acrylic resin has been commonly used for globes of lighting fixtures, usually ceiling lights. In recent years, however, there has been a growing demand for globes with more complicated forms and designs to satisfy the more varied needs of customers and to create functional improvements. We have developed and commercialized a polymer alloy made from polystyrene resin and polyethylene resin. This material has excellent moldabillty, weather resistance, light transmittance and other properties required of lighting fixture globes.
