From its inception in 2002, Latin America has been an important market for Valerus Compression Services. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., Valerus is a full-service provider of natural gas compression, processing and treating services. The company owns and operates compression equipment in excess of 500,000 hp (298,279 kW) and currently operates more than 30 facilities worldwide. Valerus utilizes a network of agents who represent the company throughout the world, including Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Valerus has offices in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and in fourth-quarter 2008 opened a new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
