Species of the genus Sporormiella, from Russia and former USSR [Russian]

There is the first information on distribution of Sporormiella species in Russia and some adjacent countries. About 200 specimens of dung of 20 animals were investigated and 19, species of the genus Sporormiella were found. The dung specimens of cow and hare were shown the most species diversity. On dung specimens of cow there were found 8 species and on hare dung 8 species, on horse dung 5 and elk dung 5 species, on dung of other animals from 1 to 2 species were identified. The species S. intermedia, S. minima; S. australis and S. muskokensis were predominant. They have been found on dung of 9, 6, 5 and 4 animals, correspondingly. At the first time 11 species of Sporormiella were found on dung of 7 animals. That first information on biodiversity of Sporormiella suggests its wide spread distribution. Coprophilous perithecioid ascomycetes may be attributed to intrazonal group of fungi, closely associated only with substrate by trophic relationships.
