Exploiting gas fields in remote spots accounts for increased volumes of LNG from these fields, which are not otherwise connected to consumer areas. It poses a problem of construction of import regasification terminals in populated sites. For both safety and environmental reasons, authorization to build a regasification terminal onshore is getting more and more difficult.
