A device for spraying the lower surface of leaves.

It is stated that the majority of standard sprayers fail to achieve adequate coverage of lower leaf surfaces of vegetable crops and potato with insecticides and therefore fail to control a significant amount of eggs and caterpillars of insect pests of the first and second generations. The design is outlined of the sprayer ON-400-1. A diagram is presented of the technological scheme of new spraying equipment developed in Russia including positioning of double-sided centrifugal, slot and deflector atomizers positioned on a universal spray boom of a field sprayer. A scheme is also presented of a pendulum type spring hanger. It is concluded that the efficiency and maintenance costs of the new sprayer do not differ from those of the standard sprayer.
