Development of Production Equipment and Metallic Molds for Product Development

A reduction in the lead time of productionequipment and mold die development is required, whichshould be synchronized with a reduction in the productiondevelopment cycle time. In cooperation with productiondevelopment, we focused on the value-added processingpoints of equipment design, applied a 30 concept design,standardized the design process, and employed numericalanalysis. A reduction in the lead time for mold die designand manufacturing was realized by applying 30 productdesign data as much as possible to mold die design, CAM,and measurement, and by implementing informationexchange with electronic data. The electronic dischargemachining of a rib slot shape was replaced with high-speed cutting.
