大麦エキス乳酸菌発酵物はPC12細胞のドーパミン産生を促進する

Functional disorder of dopamine is known as one of the causes of restless legs syndrome (RLS). Previously, we reported the improvement effects of administration of the barley extract lactic acid bacterium fermentation (BLF) on the RLS symptoms. In this study, we investigated the effects of BLF on dopamine production and cell viability of rat pheochromocytoma adrenal cell line, PC12. The amount of dopamine production increased depending on the addition density of BLR On the other hand, the cell viability hardly decreased in the presence of BLF. These results suggest that BLF reduce the symptoms of RLS through dopamine production.
