Normally sinusoidal input AC-DC converters are composed of two switching devices which are for input current control and output DC voltage control. Did type AC-DC converters were used a diode rectifier and a D-D converter, they made many harmonics in their input current. If many high frequency signals, called dither, could be contained in DC link voltage of the diode rectifier, the input current waveform would be improved. Its dither signal can get easily from the DC-DC converter. Using these idea, the sinusoidal input AC-DC converter can get easily using single switching device. This paper proposes several single phase converters and 3 phase converter composed of single switching device.
