Using of beat frequences for signal extraction in a strong interference environment

The interference, falling outside the dynamic range, cause overload conditions of the receiver's active elements. A method of application of beat frequencies generated in receivers under strong interference conditions is proposed for signal detection. Amplitude modulated, pulse modulated, and pulse -amplitude modulated signals are considered. A possibility to detect the envelope of AM (PAM) signals under total suppression of the latter by a powerful narrow-band interference is shown in an experiment.
