An application of adaptive signal processing in communication systems - adaptive signal processing for mobile phone system

Adaptive signal processing has been developing in the fields of telecommunication and instrumentation such as canceling telephone network echoes and interference noise signals in measurement system. This technology has been investigated even now in the field of mobile communication, etc. Development of LSI technology contributes research in digital signal processing. In this paper we review the development of adaptive signal processing, in particular discuss on the relationship between system modeling and implementation algorithm, including system realization. Furthermore, effects of device technology development and significant unsolved problems are considered. Finally future development of investigation in adaptive signal processing is discussed.
