A study of network-friendly datagram splitting and shaping method for realtime communications

Generally, heaviness and burstiness are characteristic of real-time communications. This means that real-time communications decrease the quality of the other communications. In this paper, we propose the new network-friendly datagram splitting and shaping method for real-time communications as "variable packet shaping method". Furthermore, we analyze the optimal datagram splitting number and performance of the proposal method by theoretically.
