Domestic prices may start growing in CIS in January

Domestic prices will move in different directions in the CIS markets . in Russia, they are expected to stabilize by the end of the year, while in Ukraine they will probably drop. Domestic prices are much higher than export ones in Ukraine, while in Russia the difference is insignificant. So, in Ukraine, offers to traders exceed export prices for HR coils by $125/t; domestic end consumers of HRC pay $80-110/t less than traders. In Russia, the situation is different: domestic prices are only $10-20/t above export offers, even despite a sharp drop in FOB-quotations at the beginning of Q4.
