Comment on 'Theoretical analysis of nth-order cascaded continuous-wave Raman fiber lasers. II. Optimization and design rules

Recently, a model of theoretical analysis for nth-order cascaded Raman fiber laser was proposed by Burgoyne et al. [J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 22, 764 (2005)], and it is very useful for designing a cascaded Raman fiber laser with a high efficiency. Nevertheless, we deduced all of the equations of the paper and found several mistakes in it. We would like to correct them in order so that one can properly design a cascaded Raman fiber laser using the equations in the papers. (c) 2006 Optical Society of America.
