摘要

The low cost turn table for measuring radiation patterns for laboratory applications has been thought and developed which is suitable for Light Weight antennas such as microstrip antennas. The movement and position of the receiving antenna is controlled through a stepper motor connected to computer & the detector output of the receiving antenna is measured using 12 bit data acquisition card. Using this data the antenna radiation pattern and beam width are obtained through a software. Higher level language such as 'C' is used to develop the software. The experimental study reveals that the developed system is suitable to measure radiation patterns of microstrip antennas accurately. The results obtained from Low Cost System are in agreement with the results of standard simulation packages.
