摘要

The leaves and roots of Ayurvedic medicinal plants collected from Myrtaceae and Apocynaceae families plants were digested with Conc-HCI, deionized water and ash (25:25:1:950=1000ppm) and the contents of trace elements such as Mg, Al, K, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, and Zn, were determined by atomic absorption spectrometer. The Atomic absorption spectrometer is used to determine the elemental concentrations. The experimental results confirmed the presence of Mg, Al, K, Mn, Fe, and Zn which is beneficial to the human body is within the WHO Permissible limits. In these 6 ayurvedic medicinal plants the toxicity elements are present in very low concentration as compare to the absorptions concentrations. The concentrations of Cr and Cu are below the mean detectable limits in both samples collected from Gulbarga and Bidar.
