摘要

In this paper, haze removal of a single image algorithm is presented which is very effective denoising technique in image processing. In this technique, dark channel prior method and histogram equalization methods are used. The dark channel prior is a kind of statistics of outdoor haze-free images. Histogram equalization technique enhances the contrast of an image for adjusting the image intensities which gives the result closer to real scene. An algorithm is implemented in MATLAB 12a and modeled by using MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation results indicate that the Simulink model can obtain the results with the least execution time. From observed results, comparison also has been done between both the used methods.
