A prototype system is designed, developed and fabricated to automate the measurement of temperature based on AVR microcontroller. It consists of AVR microcontroller, inexpensive electronic components and solid-state sensors. The programmable controller offers a wide variety of features, allowing simple connection and operation of peripheral components and sensors. It can be programmed to suit the needs of the user. Many physical properties of materials including the phase, density, solubility, vapor pressure, and electrical conductivity depend on the temperature. It is one of the most important physical parameter and required to monitor accurately.
