Simple jigs for mounting and alignment of diamond anvils in a Mao-Bell type diamond anvil cell

Novel and innovative jigs have been designed, fabricated and successfully tested for mounting the diamond anvils on tungsten carbide rockers and aligning them in a Mao-Bell type diamond anvil cell. These jigs make the process of mounting and alignment of the diamond anvils - quick, convenient, and safe. Diamond mounting jig has adjusting screws for controllable motion of the diamonds, and has more daylight for convenient viewing and applying adhesive. The anvil alignment jig avoids multiple insertion of the piston in the cylinder, thereby greatly avoiding the damage to the diamond anvils. Exact parallelism between the culets of the two diamonds could be achieved in less than 5 minutes.
