摘要

The germanium(II) bisamide Ge[N(SiMe_3)_2]_2 reacts with the substituted binaphthols (R)-[(HO)_2C_(20)H_(10)(R)_2-3,3'] (R = SiMe_3, SiMe_2Ph, SiMePh_2, or SiPh_3) to yield two novel germanium(II) binaphthoxide complexes; Ge[N(SiMe_3)_2]_2 also catalytically silylates one of the hydroxyl groups of (R)-[(HO)_2C_(20)H_(10)(SiMe_3)_2-3,3'] to yield (R)-HOC_(20)H_(10)-(OSiMe_3)-2'-(SiMe_3)_2-3,3'.
