The results of the comprehensive studies of a highly efficient method of finishing, the so-called hard "skiving" turning, are discussed. Special features of the oblique cutting with a tool equipped with cBN-based polycrystalline superhard materials are shown, the regularities of the surface roughness formation and surface layer hardening in machining are considered.
