Jejunal enterolith causing small-bowel obstruction.

A 9.5-year-old woman presented to the emergency room with a. 24-hour history of nausea, vomiting, and crampy abdominal pain. Physical examination revealed a distended, nontender abdomen. CT scan of the abdomen showed a high-grade distal small-bowel obstruction, interpreted initially as intussusception of the small, bowel, (A, double white arrow), On surgical exploration, a 3.5-crn stone was found obstructing the distal ileurn. (B, white arrow). There were also multiple jejunal diverticula (largest 4.5 X 3 cm) with a. 3-cm stone in one of them (B, black arrow). The gallbladder appeared normal with no evidence of fistula, to the duodenum or small bowel. The stone was removed by eoterotomy and a jejunal resection was performed to include all the diverticula.
