Resolution of a Neutron Powder Diffractometer Equipped with a Focusing Monochromator Operating at a Nonzero Fankuchen Angle

Analytical expressions for characteristics of the shape of Bragg peaks are obtained by means of a neutron diffractometer equipped with a focusing monochromator operating at a nonzero Fankuchen angle. The formulas are concretized for the case of the use of diaphragms to position an observation region in the device. It is demonstrated that certain assumptions used in simulation calculations of the peak parameters are restricted.
