From a clean start to a clean finish, improved technology has reduced waste throughout the finishing industries. In the paint and coatings industry, waste concerns are either industrial or residential. Industrial wastes have fewer more concentrated sources that are easier to control/ regulate than the wastes generated by homeowners. So, most of the efforts to control finishing wastes are focused at the industrial level.
