True Mohs or not true Mohs, that is really the question

We read with interest the publication by Kokkinos et al.1 The authors present a case series of 20 patients treated for DFSP with wide local excision. They offer Mohs micrographic surgery and "slow Mohs" as comparators, using the terms interchangeably despite significant differences between the two techniques. The authors describe Mohs surgery as "always requiring two or more procedures", with "multiple patient visits to achieve complete excision", a "standard time between sessions (of) two days", and reconstruction which is "done at a second stage".
