This simulation study modified the repeated measures mean difference effect size, d_(RM)~(velence), for scenarios with unequal pre- and post-test score variances. Relative parameter and SE bias were calculated for d_(RM)~(not=) versus d_(RM)~(velence). Results consistently favored d_(RM)~(not=) over d_(RM)~(velence) with worse positive parameter and negative SE bias identified for d_(RM)~(velence) for increasingly heterogeneous variance conditions.
