US Indian tribes are ready and willing to develop the natural resources on their lands, but setbacks at federal agencies are impeding the process, tribal leaders said on Thursday. Administrative and bureaucratic delays have "stymied oil and gas development," held up air permits for power plants and made it harder for the Indian tribes to be taken seriously as good business partners, tribal delegations told the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs.
